I first started working in my early twenties at a Transmission shop called SWAT Transmissions
I learned alot and still like to upgrade Transmissions, NOTE I do not do any OEM automatic rebuilds!
I only do performance Transmissions stictly off road units.
The number one failure in Transmissions is fluid failure! stop using cheap fluid! you can use a SYNTHETIC fluid that last 4/5X longer than mineral ATF, dont believe the BS dont change the fluid in your transmission. learn why AMSOIL makes the best!

this is a Chevrolet overdrive unit with almost 200,000 miles, too bad he was not using Synthetic oil in his transmission, for Christams this year he is buying a new unit instead of gifts!

notice the metal chunks? this happens when ATF is used too long and the lubricty of the fluid is lost, you have to change cheapo ATF every 30,000 miles

Performance Transmission company promotes the use of AMSOIL ATF, this is a GOOD transmission company that cares for it's customers!

want to see what a $1000 torque converter cosist of? dont fall for the cheaper $400/$500 units, unless of course you make less than 500HP

this is a quality unit that uses blades that are thicker and are all welded to prevent failure, look closely, the cheaper units are nothing like this

the input shaft slides into the splines, notice the size of the billet steel turbine hub, more than 2X the size of OEM
